The Alexander Fleming Institute has an area of approximately 700 m2 absolutely independent from the rest of the building, for the performance of intravenous cancer treatments (chemotherapy) that can be administered in outpatient environments.

It is called Day Hospital since it operates from Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 20.00h.

The area has 18 (eighteen) boxes with comfortable armchairs for the administration of oncologic drugs on their intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous alternatives, independently from the time of the infusion.

On the fourth floor, there is an area separated from general admission, where the Outpatient Procedures Room for Protocols is located. It has 3 (three) armchairs for infusional drugs administration, and a neighboring sector with 2 (two) beds for transfusion and dialysis procedures.
