The Hematology Service of the Institute, by Dr. Julio Cesar Sanchez Ávalos, especially serves patients with oncohematologic diseases, such as Acute and/or Chronicles Leukemia, Lymphomas, Multiple Myeloma, etc., but other hematologic diseases as well, like problems such as coagulation (Hemostasia and Thrombosis).
In addition, a Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit located in the building independently and strategically. It has 6 (six) isolation rooms with injection of air through special filters (HEPA). One of them is equipped with Vertical Laminar Flow inyected System that ensures the purity of the atmosphere. All rooms have individually hemodynamic monitoring, flow Oxygen, compressed air and vacuum plant.
Patients, for their special immunological characteristics which prevent them from having contact with their visitors, they can do so through double glass windows, communicating by a individual phone located in their exclusively waiting room.
This room overlooks the central courtyard of the Institute, thereby avoiding the feeling of confinement.
